How do I know if my fuel injectors need replacing?

• If the fuel injector is leaking – This might be a fuel leak in the engine bay. If you can see or smell fuel in the engine bay, it is a good sign that you have a cracked fuel injector that needs replacing.
• High fuel usage – If your vehicle is suffering from poor fuel economy, for instance, if you are filling up more than would be normal, this could be a faulty fuel injector.
• A rough engine – If your engine idles roughly, this could be the air-fuel mixture being incorrect because of a clogged injector nozzle. Also, a clogged injector nozzle can lead to misfiring while driving.
